WORKING TO END VIOLENCE

Counseling Services

The Center for Empowerment and Education provides individual counseling and support groups for victims of domestic and sexual violence as well as those dealing with other major life crises. Services are also available for family members and significant others. Counseling services provide critical intervention, opportunity for healing, and assistance in the development of client-centered safety plans which minimize risk and danger level. The Counseling Department provides individual assessments and case management services to all victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault; individual, child, family and group counseling; referrals, support and advocacy with community agencies.

The Center is open 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some evening counseling appointments are available upon request. All services and programs are free and confidential.

“It has helped me understand myself and move forward, letting go of my awful past. The facilitators were such sensitive people, making us feel safe and not judged. I was able to set new goals and share experiences with others.”
