WORKING TO END VIOLENCE

CRISIS INTERVENTION

The Center for Empowerment and Education offers immediate crisis response to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and other life crises.

On-Site Emergency Response

In hospitals, police departments, court and other community agencies, The Center is there providing on-site help, counseling, support, transportation and/or sheltering to victims.

Counseling and Support

The Center helps victims defuse an immediate crisis and implement safety plans, ensuring that their health and safety needs are met.

24-Hour Hotlines

The Center operates two 24-hour hotlines and a separate hotline for law enforcement working with high risk cases. One of our hotlines is dedicated to domestic violence crisis calls while the other is devoted to sexual assault crisis calls.

Walk-In Services

The Center offers walk-ins/open appointments at the 2 West Street facility Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

“That night at the hospital I wanted to die. But you were there for me. Others were there the next week at 1:00 am and 2:00 am – someone was always there when the dreams began. Thank you all so much for being there, for all that you’ve done, and for all that you are.” – Center Survivor
